Currency rates
On the Currencies page, you get to define new currencies, add /edit currency exchange rates, and generate a report of currency rates.
To access the Currencies page, click System Structures > Define Currency.
Using this page, you can do the following:

enter the exchange rates for active currencies on the Currency rates tab.

generate reports of currency rates on the Report tab.

add and activate currencies on the Define Currency tab.
Enter a currency rate
The Currencies tab displays a list of currencies and their current period closing, current period average, and current period monthly exchange rates. It is on this tab that you add exchange rates for currencies.
Note: You can only add currencies that are enabled for the application.

On the Currencies tab of the Define Currency page, click
. A new row appears below the last currency on the list.

In the From field of the new row, select the currency you want to add and in the To field, select the currency against which you want to provide a conversion value.

In the Current Period Closing, Current Period Average and Current Period Monthly fields, enter the applicable exchange rates to convert the From currency to the To currency.

Click
to save the rates you just entered.
Generate a currency report
Using the Report tab, you can generate a report based on one currency versus the other rates in PDF or Excel format.

Click the Report tab.

From the To currency code drop-down list, select the currency you want to use as base currency for currency conversion in the report.

In the Export format field, choose the output file type you want. Options include PDF, XLS, XLSX, and CSV.

Click
to generate the report. After the report is generated, a download link appears below for you to click and view the report in the file format you selected.

Click the download link to download the report.
Add a currency
Currencies are added on the Define Currency tab. The left-side panel of this tab displays a list of all currencies existing in the current period. The right-side panel is where you define a new currency. It is mandatory that all currencies used by subsidiaries are defined in Intercompany Management.
Note: Only currencies defined and activated in the application are valid currencies for data entry.

For the new currency, enter the Currency code (ISO code, maximum of three characters) and Currency name in their respective fields.

To activate the currency, select
. Only active currencies are valid for data entry.
