Import intercompany rules

Through the Interco Rules page you can import Intercompany rules from an external source such as Financial Consolidation into the Intercompany Management application.

To access the Interco Rules page, click Transfer of Structures > Import Interco Rules.

Import interco rules

  1. Click beside the File to Import field to display your file explorer.

  2. Navigate to, and select the file you want to upload. The name of the selected file appears in the File to import text field.

  3. Select an import type:

    • Insert only - Incoming row sets are inserted into the data target.

    • Update only - Incoming row sets of data are used to update existing rows of data in the data target. Update fails if there is no data to update.

    • Insert and update - For each row of incoming data, an insert operation is performed first. If the insert fails, an update operation occurs.

  4. In the File type field, select a file type. You can import XLS , XLSX, or CSV (Comma Separated Value) files.

     Note:  Depending on the selected file type, you may be required to provide additional parameters such as decimal separator, text separator. 

  5. In the Sheet field, enter the sheet name if more than one sheet is in the import file.

  6. Optionally, select the rows of data you want to import from the file by specifying the From Row (first line) and To Row (last line).

  7. Click to launch the validation of the structures to be uploaded. Look for the result of the validation on the right side of the page.

    • If there are no errors, click to finalize the import procedure.

    • If the file contains errors, generate a validation report to obtain the details. Click on any of the report formats (PDF, XLS, XLSX) available to generate the report and see the lines in error and the reason for the error.
